The terms you agree to when you shop with Rug Lane.

This website is operated by Rug Lane Pty Ltd (ABN 25 700 874 200), trading as Rug Lane. Throughout the site, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Rug Lane Pty Ltd.

By visiting our site or buying from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with the policies referenced in them: our Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Refunds, Payment, Privacy and Warranty policies. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, you may not use the website or our services.

1. Online store terms

To place an order you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you're under 18 you may browse the site but not place an order; a parent or legal guardian must place any order on your behalf and will be responsible for it. You may not use our products for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.

2. General conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any lawful reason, at any time. Our entire website, including cart and checkout, is served over HTTPS and your data is encrypted in transit. Card information is handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card details.

3. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law you have automatic guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law.

Major failures: you're entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Minor failures: you're entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced where they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure isn't major.

4. Accuracy of information

Material on this site is provided for general information. While we take care to keep it accurate and current, we're not responsible if information here is not accurate, complete or current, and any reliance on it is at your own risk. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Prices, pricing errors and changes

All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable.
Prices are subject to change. Any change takes effect when published and does not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
Pricing errors: if a rug is listed at an incorrect price due to a technical or human error, we're not obliged to supply at that price. We'll contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We won't charge more than the price you agreed to at checkout.
We may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

6. Products

Some products are available exclusively online, may be limited in quantity, and are subject to return or exchange in line with our Returns & Refunds policy.
Handmade nature: many of our rugs are handmade from wool and jute. Slight variations in colour, texture, pile and pattern are characteristic of the craft and are not defects.
Display and colour: we make every effort to show colours and images accurately, but we can't guarantee that your device renders colour exactly. We recommend checking the stated dimensions on each product page.

7. Billing and account information

We reserve the right to refuse any order, and may limit or cancel quantities purchased per person or per order. If we change or cancel an order, we'll try to notify you using the email or billing details you provided. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases.

8. Third-party links and tools

We may provide access to third-party tools, such as payment providers and delivery tracking, which we don't control. Use of optional third-party tools is at your own risk and subject to those providers' own terms. Third-party links may take you to sites not affiliated with us, and we're not responsible for their content.

9. Comments and feedback

If you send us reviews, ideas or suggestions, you agree we may use, edit, publish and act on that content without restriction or compensation, and we're under no obligation to keep it confidential.

10. Prohibited uses

You may not use the site or its content: for any unlawful purpose; to infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property rights; to harass, abuse or discriminate against others; to upload viruses or malicious code; or to collect or track other people's personal information.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and our Warranty, we don't guarantee that your use of the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Rug Lane Pty Ltd, its directors and employees are not liable for any injury, loss or claim arising from your use of the site or any product bought through it, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
